Luís Simões extends Iberian presence with opening new Logistics Center in the Balearic Islands

New unit offers integrated logistics services more competitive lead-times

Luis Simões has expanded the network of Iberian platforms, with the opening of a new Logistics Operations Centre, the main industrial center of the Balearic Islands in Marratxi, just 18 kilometers from the capital Palma de Mallorca. A bet that is continuing the LS's growth strategy in the Iberian market.

The new center has 300sqm of administrative area and 2000m² for logistics area with two shipping docks and capacity to 1,500 pallets. This space fills the needs of local customers by providing integrated logistics services - preparing applications, receiving and shipping merchandise to the commercial network.

The focus of Luis Simões at the opening of this regional unit can offer customers a more competitive service, in that it reduces in 24 hours standby time, compared to the previously registered between 48/72 hours, through the centers of the Iberian Peninsula .

Vitor Enes, Iberian Logistics director Luis Simões explains that "the opening of this new center reinforces our positioning and reflects the work we have been developing internally to adapt to the needs of our customers. In addition to this investment increased our Iberian network, which consolidates us as the Iberian reference operator ".
